Interview Setup & Invitation

The Interview module lets you design your hiring process, assign interviewers and invite candidates to AI or manual interviews. Careful configuration ensures that each candidate receives the appropriate questions and that your team can rate them consistently.

2.1 Set up interviews for the job

When creating a job opening you define the interview rounds in the Interview Rounds tab. Each row in the table represents a round – for example Preliminary AI, Technical, Founder’s Round or HR Initial Screening【552354242645121†screenshot】. For each round you can:

  • Name the round – choose a descriptive title.
  • Set expected average rating – star rating indicating the target score for candidates.
  • Select an interview type – pick from your predefined types (Technical, Behavioral, Phone Screen, etc.)【504652952990293†screenshot】.
  • Assign interviewers – choose who will conduct the interview.
  • Specify the designation – optional field linking the round to the job level.
  • Define expected skillset – list the skills and minimum scores expected for this round. Use Add Row to add multiple skills【550257546711911†screenshot】.

Designing interview rounds ahead of time ensures every candidate goes through the same process and allows Flinkk Hire to evaluate them consistently.

2.2 Provide access to the interview panel/team

Interviewers need access to Flinkk Hire to review candidate information and record feedback. You can add interviewers on two levels:

  • Hiring Team – within a job opening, assign interviewers and hiring managers under the Hiring Team tab【385496682641549†screenshot】. Anyone listed here will be notified when interviews are scheduled.
  • User accounts – under Users → Employee, create an account for each interviewer with their company email【584601411589740†screenshot】. They’ll receive login credentials and can access the system to view interview assignments.

Future releases will support fine‑grained role assignments, allowing you to restrict access to specific jobs or rounds.

2.3 Inviting candidates to AI or manual interviews

Once rounds and interviewers are configured, schedule interviews using the Interview page:

  1. Navigate to Interview. You’ll see a list of interviews showing the round, job applicant, custom applicant email, status and meeting type (e.g. Google Meet, Zoom or AI)【522338424724339†screenshot】.
  2. Click Add Interview to open the scheduling form (note: due to permissions this button may be visible only to authorised recruiters). Fill in:
    • Interview Round – choose from the rounds defined in the job opening.
    • Job Applicant – search and select the candidate.
    • Job Opening – auto‑populated once you select the applicant.
    • Status – set to Pending, Under Review or Rejected.
    • Meeting Type – choose AI Interview to invite the candidate to an automated session, or select a video conferencing integration (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, etc.) for a manual interview.
  3. Submit the form to schedule the interview. The candidate receives an email invitation with instructions and a link to join. Interviewers listed for the round are notified via their preferred channel.

AI interview scheduling

If you choose AI Interview, the candidate will automatically be directed to the AI interview portal. You can monitor AI interviews under AI Interview in the navigation menu, which includes sections for the home page, interviews, scheduled interviews and a question bank. Use the Question Bank to add or edit AI questions organised by role and level. The AI interview system will present these questions to candidates and record their responses.
